Ashwagandha Powder
Size: 100 g
60Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), often called Indian Ginseng, is one of the most
powerful herbs in Ayurvedic healing. For over 3,000 years, it has been used to help the body
manage stress and build internal strength. The name Ashwagandha literally translates to
smell of a horse,
referring to its unique earthy aroma and the traditional belief that it gives
one the strength and vitality of a stallion. It is a natural Adaptogen—a botanical ally that
helps the body find its center in a chaotic world.
Where Ashwagandha Comes From
● Geographical Region: The best quality Ashwagandha is grown in the dry regions of
Madhya Pradesh (Neemuch and Mandsaur) and parts of Rajasthan. These semi-
arid climates are ideal for the roots to develop high concentrations of active
compounds.
● Source Communities: Sourced from small-scale farmers who specialize in root
crops. We prioritize farmer collectives (FPOs) that preserve native seed varieties.
● Harvesting Approach: Roots are harvested only when the plant is fully mature
(150–180 days), ensuring the peak potency of the withanolides.
● Cultural Relevance: Mentioned in ancient texts as a Bhalya (strength-provider) and
Rasayana (rejuvenator), it is a cornerstone of India’s wellness heritage.
